Available: September to April

Time slot: 11:00am

Price: €22 per student for 3.5 hours total on-site (2 hours supervised activities).

Group size: Minimum of 25 students (smaller groups available upon request).

School Tours Structure

Our Transition Year Tours last 3.5 hours on-site and include:

2 Hours of Supervised Activities: A dynamic mix of team-building challenges and sports, including Bubble Football, Nerf Wars, Tug of War, and more, all organised and supervised by our staff.
30-Minute Lunch Break: A chance for students to recharge before more exciting activities (food not included).
1 Hour of Free Play on Pitches: Students can enjoy unstructured playtime on our football pitches.

Astropark’s TY School Tours are designed to offer an unforgettable experience with a mix of physical challenges, fun activities, and team-building exercises. These tours promote collaboration, leadership, and personal growth in a safe and supportive environment. Activities include:

Bubble Football: Hilariously fun football in inflatable bubble suits, perfect for promoting teamwork and coordination.
Tug of War: A friendly yet competitive challenge that strengthens teamwork and physical endurance.
Dodgeball: A fast-paced game where students team up to dodge, throw, and catch, building teamwork and reflexes.
Obstacle Course (weather-dependent): Navigate through a bouncy-castle obstacle course, testing both physical and mental agility.
Foosball (weather-dependent): Enjoy life-sized foosball, combining fun and team coordination in a unique way.
Nerf Wars: Engage in epic battle games that promote strategic thinking, communication, and team coordination.

What happens If it is raining on the day of our tour?

Don’t worry! On days when it is raining heavily, the students will be brought inside for table quizzes, musical games, and other activities.

What's the minimum and maximum group size?

Minimum 25 students for TY tours. This size is perfect for creating effective team dynamics while ensuring activities remain engaging and manageable for optimal learning outcomes.

How do these activities support TY learning objectives?

Our activities directly support TY goals of personal development, leadership skills, teamwork, and confidence building. Students experience challenges that develop resilience, communication, and collaborative problem-solving – all key TY competencies.

Is lunch provided during the school tour?

No, food is not provided as part of the school tour. We kindly ask that students bring their own lunch to enjoy during the designated break time.

What should students wear and bring?

Students should wear comfortable clothes suitable for physical activity and weather. Runners/trainers are required – NO football boots, flip-flops or sandals. Remove jewellery, belts, and keys before playing. We provide all equipment needed for all activities.

How do we book and pay for the tour?

Book online through our website by selecting your preferred location and date. A €250 deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance can be paid on the day by cash, card, or cheque, or we can issue an invoice for advance payment before your tour.

Is there parking available?

Yes! Both our Coolock and Tallaght locations have adequate parking facilities for school buses and coaches, making drop-off and pick-up convenient and safe. Coolock has ample space and is accessible via M1/M50. Tallaght is near M50 junction 11 with convenient parking.
