Astropark Champion Sports premier Weekend League 2009
TERMS & CONDITIONS
TALLAGHT & COOLOCK
1. League cost if €400. All teams must pay a deposit of €200 in advance for the league.
· All Teams must then pay €40 per week (for first 5 weeks, with no payment for last 5 weeks)
· Total Cost per Team is €400
Per Player Cost:
· €20 Deposit plus €4 per week for 5 weeks (based on 10 man Squad) with no charge for last 5 weeks
· €25 Deposit plus €5 per week for 5 weeks (based on 8 man Squad) with no charge for last 5 weeks
All Costs are Inclusive of Referee’s Fees and 13.5%VAT. Total cost is based on 10 team group. The total cost covers 9 group games and a final blitz. Any variation int he number of games will be charged pro-rata.
2. A deposit of €200 must be paid to guarantee your entrance into the league. This deposit must be paid when your application form is submitted or it will not be registered. You will not be allocated fixtures if this deposit is not paid. €40 must be paid in full weekly by teams before their game or the game will not proceed.
3. The League will commence on Friday the 22nd January 2010 and Sunday 24th Jan and will run on a group basis with the winning team being top of the league after 9 weeks. Games start times are between 6.30pm and 9.30pm on your chosen night. All teams must be able to play between and including these times.
4. For the overall prize, Company league winners will play Premier league winners and there will be a playoff between the league champions of Astropark Tallaght & Coolock and new league locations. The overall Champion will win 10 packages with accommodation and match tickets to see a Premiership game in the 2009/2010 season (one night accom) thanks to Footballtrips.ie (does not include flights). All other prizes will be supplied by Champion Sports with spot prizes distributed throughout the league. League winners/runners up will be presented trophies and sports gear on prize giving night. Prizes will be available for collection for 4 weeks after the prize giving date. If not collected before this date then the prizes are void.
5. All squad members must give email and mobile details to qualify as a league player and receive FREE membership to Astropark saving €10.
6. Any team cancellations will result in a forfeit of payment. We will endeavor to organise a friendly or offer your team the use of the pitch if you have a match called off. No money will be refunded or credits given.
7. No pro or semi-pro players under contract are allowed to participate in Astropark league.
8. The captain and vice captain of your team must become a member of Astropark when entering a team into the league. Free membership for league players. An application form must be filled out.
9. No team names that can be deemed offensive, otherwise we will have to change them.
10. All games will be refereed and the referee’s decision is final. The management reserves the right to review games and act appropriately if the match is not played in a sportsmanlike manner. This includes the expulsion of any player or team. If one individual player is giving cause for concern the whole team can be expelled from the competition. Pitches have CCTV cameras that can be used in any dispute
11. We recommend that teams should nominate minimum 6 players up to maximum 10 players in their squad. Squad members can change during the course of the league.
12. Cancellations will be actively discouraged. Cancellation rules include:
a) Any team that fails to show without notice on two occasions will be dismissed from the league.
b) Notice is served by phoning Astropark a minimum of 4 hours in advance of scheduled kick off.
c) Your team will automatically forfeit a game if you cannot field a team for a fixture. This will result in your team losing 10-0. The opposition will receive 3 points along with a 10 goal difference.
13. All teams entering must agree to abide by the Astropark 5-a-side rules, copies of which are available on request from the Astropark reception, and are posted on the Notice Board and website.
14. The squad player who is the member should make all squad members aware of Astropark’s terms and conditions available on the membership application form.
15. Astropark recommends that all entrants should take out a Team Personal Accident Insurance Policy.
16. All attempts will be made to facilitate your preferred standard however because of demand for certain nights by teams of a mixed standard, we cannot guarantee that you will always play against teams of your preferred standard.
17. There is limited availability for team registration and leagues will be arranged on a first come first serve basis.
18. The first game of the season may be used as a seeding game and your team may be asked to move to another group if you are deemed to be more suited in another group.
19. Once the leagues commence no refund will be given for any team pulling out of the competition.
20. Results, tables, fixtures and match reports will be posted on our website www.astropark.ie. You must register as a website member to access the league sections of our website. 21. Team captains and vice captains could be contacted by Astropark by telephone, email, or text regarding fixtures, league news or upcoming leagues/matches/blitzes.
22. Astropark shall not accept responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to person or property caused by or arising from directly or indirectly, the negligence, willful act or default, breach of statutory duty or breach of contract of the company, its servants, agents, licensees or invitees on or in the approaches of or to its property.
23. Your team will be offered the facility to use teamer.net which makes it easier for you to organize your team on a weekly basis. You will be signed up automatically but you can choose to use or not use the facility and will be removed after 4 weeks.
